How to find Wooplaw

 [map from streetmap.co.uk]

FROM STOW
Take the Earlston Road out of Stow (in front of town hall) and follow it for approx. 3.5 miles. The Axehead and Big Wood car parks are on the left a few hundred yards after you pass Wooplaw Farm.

FROM LAUDER
Take the Galashiels Road out of Lauder and follow it for approx. 4 miles until you come to a junction where Stow is sign posted to the right. The Gullet Woods car park is on the right hand side of the road several hundred yards further on along the Galashiels Road. Turning right at the junction towards Stow takes you almost immediately along a road that passes between Easter Park on the left and Big Wood on the right. The Big Wood and Axehead car parks are a few hundred yards along on the right hand side of the road.

FROM GALASHIELS
Exit Galashiels via Langlee. At the East end of Langlee turn left past the new housing estate towards Langshaw and the council landfill site. In just under 5 miles you come to a junction where Stow is sign posted to the left. About half a mile before this you will have passed a building on the right with a lay-by (which is the base for a clay pigeon shoot). Shortly after that lay-by you will see the Gullet Woods car park on your left. If you turn left for Stow at the junction this will take you along a road that passes between Easter Park on the left and Big Wood on the right. The Big Wood and Axehead car parks are a few hundred yards along on the right hand side of the road.
