Take the Earlston Road out of Stow (in front of town hall) and follow it for approx. 3.5 miles. The Axehead and Big Wood car parks are on the left a few hundred yards after you pass Wooplaw Farm.

FROM LAUDER on the A68
Take the Galashiels Road out of Lauder and follow it for about 4 miles until you come to a junction where Stow is sign posted to the right. Several hundred yards further towards Galashiels is the Gullet Wood on the right hand side. Turning right at the junction towards Stow takes you almost immediately between Easter Park on the left and Big Wood on the right. The Big Wood layby and Axehead car parks are a few hundred yardsfurther  along on the right.

FROM GALASHIELS
Exit Galashiels via Langlee. At the East end of Langlee turn left past the new housing estate towards Langshaw and the council landfill site. In just under 5 miles you come to a junction where Stow is sign posted to the left.  After crossing a bridge and passing a firing range on the right you will see the Gullet Woods car park on your left.
